Engineering Brief

The EM4425 em|echo-V is a dual-frequency RFID/NFC transponder combining HF (13.56 MHz) and UHF (860-960 MHz) on a single die with shared 2048-bit configurable memory and common IC serial number. It supports ISO 15693, NFC Type 5, and EPC Gen2v2 protocols with read sensitivity up to -20dBm (UHF) and write sensitivity up to -14.5dBm. Features include AES-128 cryptography, digital signature authentication, tamper detection, 50pF on-chip resonant capacitor, minimum 100k write cycles endurance, and 50-year data retention, targeted at retail, product authentication, and supply chain applications.

Typical Applications

  • Inventory and supply chain management
  • Product authentication with tamper evidence detection
  • Customer engagement, coupons, and loyalty programs
  • Industrial, automotive, and aerospace logistics
  • Retail product tracking and consumer services via NFC smartphone
  • Stock inventory and product returns with data privacy
