Engineering Brief
The ICODE DNA (SL2S6002) is an HF tag IC operating at 13.56 MHz per ISO/IEC 15693 standards, designed specifically for brand protection applications requiring long read range (up to 1.5 m) and strong cryptographic authentication. It features 2016 bits of user-accessible EEPROM organized in 64 blocks with a built-in AES coprocessor supporting tag and mutual authentication using three 128-bit keys and flexible privilege-based access control. Additional security features include a 32-byte ECC-based originality signature, per-block write protection, and a 16-bit counter. The chip supports standard ISO 15693 functions including anticollision, EAS, AFI, DSFID, and offers data rates up to 53 kbit/s with 50-year data retention and 100,000 write cycles endurance.
Typical Applications
- Brand protection and anti-counterfeiting for consumer goods
- High-value asset authentication and tracking
- Document tracking and authentication
- Ski ticketing and access control
