The MIFARE SAM AV2 (P5DF081) is a contact-based secure application module designed to augment contactless readers with hardware cryptography and secure key storage. It connects via ISO/IEC 7816 contact interface (UART to host) and I2C to NXP RC52x/RC663 reader ICs for accelerated MIFARE transactions. The module supports TDEA, AES-128/192, RSA (up to 2048-bit), MIFARE Crypto1, and hashing (SHA-1/224/256), with storage for 128 symmetric and 3 RSA key entries, key diversification, and usage counters. Delivered in PCM1.1, HVQFN32, or wafer form, it is certified for -25°C to +85°C operation and widely deployed in public transport, loyalty, and access control systems.
