The NTAG 224 DNA (NT2H2421G0) is an NXP-manufactured, Common Criteria EAL3+ certified NFC Type 2 Tag IC operating at 13.56 MHz with 208 bytes of user memory. It features Secure Unique NFC (SUN) message authentication using AES-128 CMAC that automatically mirrors UID, NFC counter, and a cryptographic signature into the NDEF message for real-time authenticity and integrity verification. The IC also supports 3-pass mutual AES-128 authentication for secure memory access, an ECC-based originality signature (customizable and lockable), configurable read/write access protection, and an automatic NFC tap counter. It is delivered as a bumped wafer (50 pF input capacitance) and is designed for advanced anti-counterfeiting, secure supply chain tracking, and trusted IoT applications, with 106 kbit/s data rate and full ISO/IEC 14443 Type A compliance.
