Engineering Brief
The RF430CL330H is a dual-interface NFC Type 4 transponder combining ISO14443B-compliant 13.56 MHz RF communication (up to 848 kbps) with I2C or SPI serial interfaces. It provides 3 KB of SRAM for NDEF messages that can be dynamically updated via the serial interface while remaining accessible to NFC readers wirelessly. The device supports automatic NDEF structure validation, configurable interrupt signaling, and optional BIP-8 error detection, making it ideal for Bluetooth/Wi-Fi pairing, equipment diagnostics, and sensor data exchange applications where a microcontroller needs to present dynamically-changing content to NFC-enabled smartphones or tablets.
Typical Applications
- Bluetooth and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) pairing via NFC connection handover
- Wi-Fi configuration and provisioning
- Diagnostic interface for equipment configuration and service
- Sensor interface and data exchange with NFC smartphones/tablets
- General-purpose NFC data interface for embedded applications
- Dynamic tag content updates via serial interface (I2C/SPI) with RF read access
