Engineering Brief

The EM4200 is a read-only low-frequency (100-150 kHz) RFID chip with 128-bit laser-programmed ROM, designed as a direct replacement for EM4100/4102 and EM4005/4105. It features integrated resonant capacitors (0pF, 75pF, or 250pF options), on-chip rectifier and voltage limiter, and requires no external supply buffer capacitor. Multiple data encoding options are available: Manchester (32/64 RF clocks per bit), Biphase (32/64 RF clocks per bit), PSK (16 RF clocks per bit with RF/2 subcarrier), and FSK2 (50 RF clocks per bit), making it suitable for diverse applications including ISO11785 FDX-B animal identification and access control systems.
