Engineering Brief
The UCODE 9 (SL3S1206) is an EPC Gen2v2.1 UHF RFID chip optimized for demanding retail, logistics, and baggage-tagging applications. It offers exceptional read (-24 dBm) and write (-22 dBm) sensitivity, enabling long read ranges and fast inventory of dense tag populations. Innovative features include Self-Adjust for automatic sensitivity tuning, Dynamic Backscatter for regulatory compliance, Memory Safeguard (ECC and parity check), and compatibility with single-slit antennas. Delivered on 12-inch wafers with large, rotation-tolerant Au pads, the chip supports 96-bit pre-serialized EPC, 100k write-cycle endurance, and a wide -40°C to +85°C operating range, making it ideal for global RFID deployments in retail, e-commerce, and supply-chain environments.
Typical Applications
- Retail and fashion inventory management
- Omnichannel retail processes
- Airline baggage tracking
- Supply chain management from source to store
- High-speed store checkout
- Loss prevention and after-sales warranty management
