Engineering Brief
The UCODE G2iL/G2iL+ is an EPC Gen2 v1.2.0 compliant UHF RFID transponder IC offering industry-leading sensitivity of -18 dBm for extended read range with simple antenna designs. The G2iL features integrated Product Status Flag (PSF) for EAS applications, bank-wise read protection, and Real Read Range Reduction (4R) privacy mode. The G2iL+ variant adds advanced features including Tag Tamper Alarm for security seals, digital switch/I/O for device activation, data transfer mode for external communication, and external supply mode boosting sensitivity to -27 dBm for equal read/write ranges. Available in 75 µm and 120 µm wafer, XSON6 package, and FCS2 strap formats.
