Engineering Brief
The ICODE SLIX (SL2S2002/SL2S2102) is a third-generation ISO 15693 HF RFID chip operating at 13.56 MHz with 1024 bits EEPROM (896 bits user-accessible). It features anticollision, password-protected EAS and AFI functionality, operating distances up to 1.5 m, and data rates up to 53 kbit/s. Security includes a unique non-alterable UID, per-block write protection, and 32-bit password protection for EAS/AFI. Available in wafer, XSON3, and MOA8 module formats with typical capacitance values of 23.5 pF (SL2S2002) or 97 pF (SL2S2102) between antenna pads.
Typical Applications
- Library item management and tracking
- Pharmaceutical supply chain item-level tagging
- Product authentication in medical devices and alcohol industries
- Counterfeit protection for consumer goods
- Industrial asset and document tracking
- Production management across various industries
