Engineering Brief

The ICODE SLIX2 (SL2S2602) is an HF 13.56 MHz RFID chip compliant with ISO/IEC 15693-2/3, offering 2528 bits of usable EEPROM user memory organized in 79 blocks of 4 bytes each (block 79 is a password-protectable 16-bit counter). It features a cryptographic originality signature using standard ECC (secp128r1 curve) for authentication, flexible memory segmentation with page-based read/write password protection, privacy mode, destroy mode, and Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) with ID. Operating up to 1.5 m distance at up to 53 kbit/s data rate, the chip supports advanced inventory with persistent quiet mode and fast anti-collision, making it suitable for high-security supply-chain tracking, pharmaceutical anti-counterfeiting, and library automation. Available as bare die (bumped wafer), MOA8 module, or ultra-small XSON3 package.

Typical Applications

  • Libraries
  • Item-level tagging in pharmaceutical supply chains
  • Counterfeit protection for consumer goods
  • Industrial applications
  • Asset and document tracking
