Engineering Brief

The NRG SLE 66R35E7 is a 1 kByte EEPROM NFC chip compliant with ISO/IEC 14443-3 Type A at 13.56 MHz and 106 kbit/s. It features a 7-byte unique identifier (UID) with configurable UID modes (including 4-byte RND-ID or FNUID for legacy system compatibility) and CRYPTO1 mutual authentication with per-sector key management (Key A/B). Memory is organized into 16 sectors with user-definable access conditions, dedicated value blocks for increment/decrement operations, and supports >100,000 erase/write cycles with >10 years data retention. Targeted at transport, access control, and electronic purse applications requiring basic security and multi-application support.

Typical Applications

  • Public transport ticketing
  • Access control and identification
  • Electronic purse and loyalty cards
  • Event ticketing
  • Multi-application smart cards
