Engineering Brief

The Impinj M800 Series (M830/M850) are UHF RAIN RFID tag chips operating at 860-960 MHz with enhanced Gen2X performance delivering up to 2 dB read sensitivity improvement over standard implementations, achieving -25.5 dBm sensitivity. The M830 offers 128-bit EPC memory while the M850 provides 96-bit EPC with 32-bit user memory, both supporting GS1 EPCglobal Gen2 Untraceable/Short-range privacy features. Advanced features include AutoTune V3 automatic RF tuning, Core3D Antenna technology for omnidirectional reading, FastID high-speed reading, and Integra V2 memory diagnostics as part of the Gen2X Protection suite.

Typical Applications

  • Retail inventory management with GS1 EPCglobal Gen2 Untraceable/Short-range
  • Supply chain tracking and logistics
  • High-speed automated sorting with Impinj FastID
  • Asset tracking with omnidirectional reading capability
  • Item-level tagging requiring enhanced read sensitivity
  • Applications requiring robust bonding construction (Impinj Enduro V2)
